String and Hammer School of Pianism and Composition takes pride in the fact that we are a music studio specializing in everything and anything to do with piano playing and composition. We have dedicated our lives to the craft, and are passionate about sharing what we have learned to enthusiasts of all levels and ages!
No matter what your ambitions are for taking piano or composition lessons, whether you are preparing for a university audition, or getting through your RCM exams to receive a credit for school, or you want to surprise your family and friends with a jingle, we approach every student with the highest level of commitment. Students of String and Hammer School have the added benefit of participating in a masterclass once a month. The masterclass, which comes at no extra cost, is an opportunity for students to perform the pieces they are working on in front of the studio. This frequent exposure to performance pressure is critical in their musical development, and equips them with the necessary tools to successfully perform at festivals or exams.
Combined, we have over thirty years of private instruction experience, forty-five years of piano training, practicing, and performing, and over eleven years of post-secondary teaching experience.
